Stones Spheres in Costa Rica

So I saw an amazing picture article on bbcworld this morning about stones spheres in Costa Rica. If you are into archaeology, history, astronomy and all that kind of stuff, then you definitely need to check it out. Here's the link. I always wanted to be an archaelogist when I was a kid because I was fascinated by dinosaurs (thanks to the 1988 animated film Land Before Time), Egyptian pharoahs (thanks to the 1999 movie The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz), time travel, and of course Indiana Jones. That, however, is a different story for another day. Back to stone spheres...

The article says some of these spheres date back to AD 600 which was long before the Spanish conquest of Costa Rica in the 16th century. Isn't that cool?

Some researchers say that the spheres may have some astronomical significance to them. However, the true purpose and meaning of the stones might forever remain mysterious because the culture of the people who made these stones were completely destroyed during the Spanish occupation of Costa Rica in the 16th century. All the pictures I used are courtesy of bbcworld.com

Color me intrigued, very intrigued.

I have always loved espadrilles because they have an earthy look and are very comfortable.

I recently purchased two authentic pairs...blue and white...from a seller on ebay called newenglandcountryliving2...her/his prices are incredibly affordable

The blue is my favourite. It slips into my feet like a glove.
